well, so anyway, i went to the book thing. i didn't skim it, either; i started to, but just couldn't get into it. and i got bored. so i packed up my stuff and headed out to see sarah. i lent her my copy of _kiss me, kiss me, kiss me_ because she's been kind of depressed lately. i told her to listen to "fight" whenever she was depressed. i also gave her a copy of tamagothi because it's such a stupid, silly little program.

i'm also going to see if i can convince her to come to ark city with me friday and browse through the tattoo shops. i totally think she should go for it and just get one, despite her mom's not liking it. ...if only they weren't so damn expensive!

yay! today is the last day of work this week!! we have tommorrow and monday off because of independance day. i am oh, so happy. monday, sarah and i (and hopefully jane; i never get to see her anymore) are going to stillwater and eating at mexico joes... eek! there goes ten-twenty bucks right there on the meal! yikes.. i forgot about how expensive it all is...

anyhow, i'm trying to save up $1000 for my new york trip in august. there are three trillion shops i want to go to, but i've managed to narrow it down to five. but then again, i haven't checked the alt.gothic.fashion's guide to nyc, either... i have to do that and take it all into account. right now, i really want to visit sway, because i've read they carry gorgeous ethereal flowing dresses... and i want _so_ very many of them...

okay, let me get back on topic, here... last night, sarah and i stayed late after the novel study to talk to kelli about sunday's youth meeting; what we should do, where we should go, etc. we also decided we were fun-nelly challenged. we don't really know how to have fun with other people-- we pretty much well entertain ourselves. in any event, we started talking, ignoring the pressing subject of what to do sunday. we pretty much well told her everything that was on our minds at the time being; or rather, sarah did mostly because i was tired and started falling asleep, but she was hyper and just babbled on. i fell asleep on her for about twenty minutes, but heather didn't mind. the meeting got over at 8:30. we left for home at 10.

i got home and sat down to watch the x-files. only, i had a terrible headache, so i took excederin, forgetting it has caffine in it. i could not get to sleep until after 2 am last night. it was horrible!! i tried writing a story to use my awakefullness somewhat purposfully, but i was too braindead. when your brain isn't functioning properly, it isn't exactly time to go to work on some third-person archetypical tale...

so, i'm working on writing this third-person archetypical tale. only, i don't want it to seem so complex on first glance; i want the deeper meanings in the imagery to become clear only upon re-reading it, or studying it. argh, i'm writing an "analyze-this" story! oh no! i never ever thought i'd be doing that. but it's not for, like english classes or scholars to analyze, because they'll probably never even see it. it's just kind of something to do... and something i feel i should do.

the story is third person because i really suck at third-person stories. i'm hoping that if i practice and work on several of them, they'll turn out better. probably i'll just end up with a sucky story.

okay, i'm going to go look up where to get cannonballs for _disquietude_...

      10:23 pm

crap. earlier, when i wrote this, i forgot to "save as", so now i have no record of yesterday. crap crap crap crap crap. eesh. the stupid things i do...

...hum. what *did* i do yesterday? or more importantly, what did i write about? ... not important. ...i think.

anyway, sarah called me at, like, 8 and told me that the youth group is shoveling wood chips at 9:30 am tommorrow. aaaak! that's so early! blah. so, we sat on the phone and complained for a while, then got off to pee and call some other people to alert them. she called josh, and i called simon, the new guy.

after amassing courage for about ten minutes, i finally called him. the conversation was fairly stupid, and included the line, "think of it as bonding over manual labor." cheesy and stupid, i know, but at the time it seemed so.. *right*. ha.

so, he is coming tomorrow, too. i then called sarah and told her, then called cody and informed him he was coming. if he doesn't show by 9:45, i'm taking off and hauling his ass out of bed. the only problem with that is that he'll probably hit me. hmm. oh well, it'll be worth it; he has to save the new guy* from scott. *whoops, mark.

mimi and grandpa are here. mom's leaving saturday. heather is grounded for staying so late talking, and then going to wendy's with brandy and me.

i also have a problem with the work project thing tommorrow; i'm gonna be hot as hades if i cover up, but if i don't, i'll burn. how sad. hum. anyway... gonna go.
